The first issue of "burda fashion" magazine appeared in 1950. It was the first western magazine to be published in the Soviet Union and to appear in the People’s Republic of China in 1987 and 1994, respectively. With a wider spectrum of contents, new themes and a feminine point of view, "burda fashion" is currently published in 89 countries and in 16 languages. Each issue presents 50 new garments, many fashion and styling tips as well as a detachable supplement with the relevant comprehensive instructions and sewing pattern pieces.
